Full Electric Positioning from One Pendant
The Drive Delta Ultra Light 1000 Full Electric Bed uses a self-contained, UL-approved motor that is quiet, smooth and removable with the patient still in bed. The large hand pendant controls the head section, the foot section and the overall bed height, so finding a comfortable reading, eating or care position takes seconds. The channel frame and taller headboard give the bed a furniture-like presence at home, and the wood-grain end panels resist breaks and scratches. Labels and color-coded springs guide correct side-rail installation, and the bed, rails and mattress have been safety tested by SGS to satisfy applicable FDA entrapment guidelines.

Is a mattress or rails included?
It depends on the configuration you choose on this page. The base configuration is the bare bed — no rails and no mattress. Other configurations add half or full rails, and mattress options include innerspring, therapeutic support, foam, fiber core and Quick-n-Easy. Drive's own package configurations pair half rails with the innerspring mattress (15006), full rails with the fiber core mattress (15007), and half rails with the Therapeutic 5 Zone mattress (15019).
What does the hand pendant control?
All three functions: raising and lowering the head section, the foot section, and the overall height of the bed. There is no hand crank to turn.
What happens during a power failure?
A 9V battery located in the hand control lowers the head and foot sections up to nine times, returning the patient to a flat, supine position until power is restored.
Will this frame work with my existing bed ends?
Very likely. The Delta frame is universal — it works with Drive bed ends and most other manufacturers' bed ends, whether old or new.
How much weight can the bed hold?
450 lb maximum, and that figure includes the occupant. Allow for the mattress and any accessories within that total.
