Description

The Basic American AmeriLux Bed is an ultra-low sleep system that drops to a 4 in deck height for serious fall protection. Fixed decks come in 36 in and 42 in widths, and APS positioning is built into the series.

  • Ultra-low deck height of 4 in, rising to 30 in
  • Fixed deck widths of 36 in or 42 in
  • Safe working load 550 lb, resident capacity 500 lb
  • APS advanced positioning included in the series
  • Made in the USA in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin

The AmeriLux is the fall-management flagship of the Basic American line, built for residents at high risk of bed falls. At its lowest the deck sits 4 in off the floor, so a roll-out becomes a short slide instead of a drop. Height rises to 30 in for care, cleaning and transfers, and the surface length adjusts from 80 in to 84 in. APS positioning brings Trendelenburg and the comfort chair to the staff control. The series is sold as frame only in these configurations, ready to pair with the facility's choice of support surface.

Features and Benefits

Ultra-Low Safety

Fall programs start with height. The AmeriLux deck reaches 4 in, lower than standard low beds by several inches.

  • Rises to 30 in for care and transfers
  • Surface length adjusts from 80 in to 84 in
  • Pairs with fall mats for a complete safety setup

Positioning and Build

The AmeriLux is a full clinical bed, not just a low frame. APS and the US-made frame match the rest of the Basic American line.

  • APS Trendelenburg and comfort chair positioning
  • 36 in or 42 in fixed deck widths
  • 550 lb safe working load, 500 lb resident capacity

Why Choose the Basic American AmeriLux Bed?

For fall-risk residents, no other Basic American bed goes as low as the AmeriLux. It pairs that 4 in deck with full APS positioning and a 550 lb working load.

  • 4 in deck height – The lowest sleeping surface in the line – Roll-outs end inches from the floor, not feet
  • Clinical positioning included – APS Trendelenburg and comfort chair are series features – Fall safety does not cost clinical function
  • Two fixed widths – Choose 36 in for standard rooms or 42 in for larger residents – The deck width is built in, not an add-on
