Description

The Bionix OtoClear SprayWash Ear Irrigation Kit combines the OtoClear tip with a trigger SprayWash bottle for controlled cerumen irrigation at about half the cost of a self-constructed device. Kits include the bottle, a wand adapter, an ear basin and 20 or 5 tips.

  • Half the DIY cost – about half the cost of a self-constructed device
  • Trigger control – the SprayWash bottle meters flow by hand
  • Full kit – bottle, wand adapter, tips and basin included

A Complete Irrigation Kit, Ready to Use

The kit assembles the full OtoClear irrigation setup: SprayWash bottle, adapter wand, OtoClear tips and an ear basin for drainage. The tip directs water toward the ear canal wall with three divergent streams, avoiding direct impact on the tympanic membrane, and its flared design prevents over-insertion. Exit portals route the returning water into the basin, eliminating splash-back onto the operator. The kit is indicated for patients 6 months or older with impacted cerumen or foreign bodies occluding the ear canal, where no infection or eardrum perforation is known or suspected. Bionix positions the kit at half the cost of a self-constructed irrigation device. The 20-tip kit suits stocked rooms, and the 5-tip kit suits trials and low volume sites.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the SprayWash kit?

OtoClear tips, a SprayWash bottle, an adapter wand and an ear basin. Choose the kit with 20 tips or the kit with 5 tips.

How does the tip protect the eardrum?

Three holes direct water toward the ear canal wall in divergent streams, so the fluid does not directly impact the eardrum.

Who can be treated with this kit?

Patients 6 months or older with impacted cerumen or foreign bodies occluding the canal, where no infection or eardrum perforation is known or suspected.

Can components be replaced separately?

Yes. OtoClear tips, adapter wands and ear basins are all sold separately as refills and spares.

Is a procedure code associated with irrigation?

Bionix lists CPT 69209 for irrigation and lavage cerumen removal. Coding decisions rest with the provider.
