Description

Exel Blunt Tip Needles – Aluminum Hub, Luer Lock, Sterile, Lab Use, 15G to 20G in Cases of 100 Each

The Exel Blunt Tip Needles draw fluids at the bench without a sharp point in play. A blunt tip draws from vials and ampules without coring or skin puncture risk during prep work. Laboratory and compounding staff use these for medication preparation rather than patient injection.

  • Four sizes from 15G x 1-1/2 inch to 20G x 1-1/2 inch
  • Stainless steel non lubricated cannula, laser welded
  • Aluminum hub with luer lock design and crimped cannula attachment
  • Sterile, single use, individually packed for lab use

Exel Blunt Tip Needles for Lab and Compounding Draws

The manufacturer designates these blunt needles for lab use only, and each one is sterile and single use. The cannula is stainless steel, laser welded and non lubricated, built for drawing fluids during preparation. An aluminum hub with a luer lock design locks onto standard syringes without slipping mid draw. The hub crimp cannula attachment keeps the cannula seated under repeated vial entries. A two piece hard pack polypropylene cap and sheath protects the tip until the moment of use. Cases hold 100 needles as 25 per box across 4 boxes, a right sized count for lab benches.

Features and Benefits

Blunt Tip Build

  • Non Lubricated Cannula – stainless steel, laser welded, and left unlubricated for clean lab draws.
  • Aluminum Luer Lock Hub – the hub locks to the syringe and the crimped attachment secures the cannula.
  • Color Coded – sizes are color coded for easy identification at the bench.

Lab Handling

  • Lab Use Only – the manufacturer designates this line for laboratory use.
  • Hard Pack Cap and Sheath – a two piece polypropylene hard pack guards the blunt tip.
  • Sterile Single Use – each needle is individually packed, sterile and single use.

Why Labs Choose Exel Blunt Tip Needles

Blunt tips remove the sharps risk from the one step that never needed a sharp, drawing up before a patient needle is attached. Labs that prep volume keep a case beside the hood. That keeps prep areas safer without changing how staff draw.

  • Safer Prep Work – a blunt tip cannot stick skin during vial draws and transfers.
  • Secure Luer Lock Fit – the aluminum hub locks down instead of friction fitting.
  • Bench Sized Cases – 100 per case in boxes of 25 suits bench level stocking.
  • Four Working Gauges – 15G through 20G covers thick and thin draw work.
