Description
The Drive Gravity 7 Foam Mattress is the long-term-care workhorse of the Gravity line: three layers of latex-free foam with a die-cut top for zoned pressure redistribution and a visco foam heel section — in three lengths, each with a standard or elevated perimeter.
- Die-cut top layer – zoned pressure redistribution across the full width
- Visco foam heel section – offloads pressure from vulnerable heels
- High-density foam perimeter – solid edge support for safer transfers
- Articulation cuts – the base flexes with adjustable bed decks
- Standard or elevated perimeter – available at every length
- 350 lb capacity – with a 7 year foam warranty
Three Layers, Every Length, Two Perimeters
The Gravity 7 builds its surface from three full layers of latex-free foam. The top layer is die-cut for zoned pressure redistribution; the bottom layer carries full-length horizontally scored articulation cuts, so the mattress bends with the deck instead of bridging across it. The heel section is visco foam — a softer, slower material where heels need offloading most. A high-density perimeter firms the edges for sitting and transfers, and every length (76, 80, and 84 inches) comes in a standard perimeter or an elevated perimeter that rises above the surface for patients who need a boundary. The cover is a fluid-resistant stretch nylon top over a waterproof vinyl bottom, and the mattress meets CFR 1632 and 1633.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does the elevated perimeter do?
It raises the mattress edge above the sleep surface, giving the patient a defined boundary and helping with positioning — a fall-prevention aid. The standard perimeter is firm and flush, better for independent transfers.
What is the visco heel section?
The heel end is made from visco foam, which offloads pressure under the heels — a high-risk area with very little tissue padding.
Does the Gravity 7 need a pump or power?
No. It is a foam mattress with nothing to plug in, inflate, or maintain.
Will it bend with an adjustable bed?
Yes. Full-length articulation cuts in the base layer let it flex as the head and knee sections rise.
How do I clean it?
The stretch cover wipes down in place; the fluid-resistant top and waterproof vinyl bottom protect the foam core from spills.
Which length should I order?
Match the deck: 76 in for compact frames, 80 in standard, 84 in for taller patients. All are 36 in wide and support 350 lb.
What warranty does it carry?
Drive covers the foam for 7 years and the cover for 3 years under its limited warranty.
