Description
The Medi-Sheen CST-800 Stain and Rust Remover is an acidic reconditioner that removes rust, stains, spotting and corrosion from stainless steel surgical instruments. It restores stainless steel to its original luster and can bring instruments with frozen box locks back into service.
- Restores original luster – Removes rust, stains, spotting and corrosion from stainless steel surfaces
- Frees frozen box locks – Restores out-of-service instruments with frozen box locks to working order
- Reconditions more than instruments – Works on stainless steel carts, trays and basins as well as autoclave interiors
- Dissolves hard water deposits – Cuts through the scale and deposits that build up inside steam sterilizers
About This Medi-Sheen CST-800 Reconditioner
Medi-Sheen CST-800 pairs powerful stain and rust removing agents with corrosion inhibitors, so it reconditions stainless steel and provides lasting protection in the same treatment. For instruments, one part Medi-Sheen is diluted to seven parts hot water in a stainless steel tray, clean instruments are opened and completely immersed for 12 minutes, and severely stained instruments may need up to 30 minutes. For steam sterilizers and autoclaves, a one to five dilution in hot water at 120°F to 170°F is applied to interior surfaces for 30 minutes before brushing and rinsing. Trays and carts are treated at the same one to five dilution with a stiff brush and hot solution. The concentrate contains phosphoric acid, so gloves and eye protection are used for all procedures. It is sold as listed, a 1 gallon container in a case of four, and this item is HAZMAT and ships ground only to the contiguous United States.

Why Choose This Medi-Sheen CST-800 Reconditioner
Detergents maintain instruments, but they cannot undo months of rust, spotting and scale. Medi-Sheen CST-800 is the periodic reset, an acidic reconditioning treatment that strips the damage away and leaves corrosion inhibitors behind. Departments use it to recover instruments and autoclave chambers that looked ready for replacement.
- Instruments return to service – Frozen box locks free up and stained instruments come back instead of being discarded
- Brighter stainless everywhere – Instruments, carts, trays, basins and autoclave interiors all return to their original luster
- Longer between treatments – Corrosion inhibitors left on the surface provide lasting protection after each reconditioning
- One product for the whole room – A single concentrate covers instruments, case carts and the sterilizer chamber itself
