SilverDerm 7 is a silver contact dressing made of knitted nylon plated with approximately 99 percent elemental silver and 1 percent silver oxide. The flexible sheet may be cut to size, layered or rolled, conforming to wound shapes that rigid dressings cannot. It may be used for up to 7 days per application, and it can be paired with most topical agents with the exception of petroleum based agents. The dressing is supplied in a 4 in x 4 in size, 10 per box, for wounds where a silver contact layer is part of the plan.
