ComfortFoam Ag Border is a highly absorbent, self-adherent silicone foam island dressing with silver ions that help reduce bacterial colonization in the dressing. Its 5 layer build combines a soft silicone contact surface, a flexible polyurethane foam pad, a nonwoven fabric layer and a vapor permeable, waterproof outer film. The dressing supports normalization of wound bed temperature and absorbs exudate while minimizing maceration risk. A low profile border adds adhesion and flexibility, and the border is showerproof to prevent exudate leakage. It can be worn for several days depending on wound condition and exudate levels, and it manages exuding wounds including leg and foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, traumatic and surgical wounds, and superficial and partial thickness burns.
