Description
The Lumex LF1600 Stand Assist is a manual stand-assist transport for patients who can pull themselves up with support. Its padded split seat, dual knee pads and narrow 25 in width make short room-to-room transfers simple.
- 400 lb capacity, evenly distributed
- Padded split seat swings out for loading and unloading
- Padded dual knee pads
- Only 25 in overall width for tight bathrooms
- Manual operation, nothing to charge
The LF1600 covers the shortest, most frequent transfers in care: bed to chair, chair to commode, room to room. The patient grips the frame, pulls to standing with the knee pads as a brace, and rides the padded split seat while the caregiver walks the unit. At 25 in wide it passes through bathroom doors that stop larger equipment. Swivel casters with locking rears keep it maneuverable and then planted. With no electronics at all, it is ready every time and costs about half of a powered sit-to-stand lift.
Features and Benefits
Manual Stand Assist Design
The LF1600 has no motor because the patient is the motor. The frame simply gives them something solid to pull against.
- Padded split seat swings out and back for loading
- Padded dual knee pads
- Patient pulls up with their own strength
- Keeps the resident actively engaged in every transfer
Size and Build
Width decides whether a stand assist reaches the bathroom. At 25 in overall, the LF1600 goes where wider devices cannot.
- Only 25 in overall width
- Swivel casters with locking rear casters
- Heavy-duty steel frame
- No batteries, charging or electronics

Why Choose the Lumex LF1600 Stand Assist?
Not every transfer needs a powered lift. For patients with upper body strength, the LF1600 is faster, narrower and cheaper than a sit-to-stand lift, and it never needs charging.
- Half the cost of powered – Manual design removes the motor, battery and electronics – Programs can place more units where transfers happen
- Bathroom-door width – 25 in overall fits standard residential doors – The commode transfer happens in the bathroom, not the hall
- Zero maintenance drivetrain – There is nothing to charge or program – The unit is always ready, shift after shift
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the patient get on and off?
The padded split seat swings out for loading and back underneath for the ride. The patient pulls up using their own strength with the frame as support.
How wide is it?
Overall width is 25 in, among the narrowest stand assists available. It fits through bathroom doors that block wider devices.
Does it need power or charging?
No. The LF1600 is fully manual, with no batteries or electronics to charge, service or fail.
Who should not use it?
Patients who cannot bear weight or pull themselves up need a powered sit-to-stand or full body lift. The LF1600 depends on the patient's own strength by design.
What warranty does it carry?
The heavy-duty steel frame carries a 3 year warranty. That matches the frame coverage on the powered Lumex lifts.
