Five Layer Silicone Foam Island Dressing
ComfortFoam Border is a highly absorbent self-adherent silicone foam island dressing with a 5 layer construction. A full contact surface of gentle silicone pairs with fast absorbency foam that draws fluid away from the wound through moisture wicking and moisture locking fiber layers, toward a waterproof polyurethane film backing. The silicone adhesive sticks to surrounding skin but not to the wound bed, minimizing pain and the risk of damage to the wound area. The dressing supports normalization of wound bed temperature, and its border is showerproof. It manages partial and full thickness wounds including pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, arterial ulcers, venous ulcers and traumatic wounds, and it can be worn for several days depending on wound condition and exudate levels.
